Senior Q
It was a nice day for the Iowa BBQ Societies fifth annual Senior Q. Residents got up extra early in anticipation for this years bbq. By 11 am family members and residents were going through the buffet line, and they kept flowing through until 1:00 pm. Several hundred people enjoyed sliced brisket, pulled pork, chicken, hot dogs, beans, slaw, drinks, and fabulous desserts. It was a group effort, and thanks go out to the Sunnyview Care Facility, The Iowa BBQ Society, Smokey D's BBQ, Hawgeyes BBQ, Russ and Franks BBQ Sauce, and all of the volunteers who helped serve up the bbq. Over the years thousands of seniors have been "catered" to across the nation during "Senior Q Month". The Iowa BBQ Society is proud to be a part of it.
